Save, reopen and move your free studio draft
Understand browser storage, draft files and what to keep before changing device or clearing browser data.
Know where the working copy lives
The free studio stores its current draft in this browser on this device. It includes the title, paper size, answer setting, selected library references and custom puzzle definitions. It is separate from cloud projects in the connected workspace.
The page list updates after each supported change. If the browser blocks storage or its quota is full, the studio reports that the draft could not be saved. Do not rely on the working copy in a temporary or shared browser.
Download a portable draft
Choose Download draft in the free studio. Keep the JSON file somewhere you can find again. The file contains the page order and puzzle data; it is an editable project file, not the finished printable PDF.
Download a new draft after making changes you want to keep. A file saved earlier does not update automatically when you keep working in the browser.
Open a draft in another browser
Open the free studio and choose Open draft file. Select the saved JSON file. The studio validates the file before replacing the current working draft. Invalid files leave the existing book intact.
Custom puzzles are reconstructed from supported settings. Library pages are resolved against the pages currently available. If a library page is no longer available, the studio tells you and keeps the remaining pages.
Keep finished print files too
Use Print / save PDF for a finished copy that can be viewed and printed independently. Keeping both a PDF and a draft is useful: one preserves the finished layout, while the other lets you revise the selection later.
Clearing browser data removes the local working draft. Starting a new book also replaces it after confirmation. Download a copy before either action when you want to keep the book.
