Enter the word list

Open the word search maker. Add 1–30 words separated by commas or new lines. Use English letters A–Z, with at least two letters per word. Case is normalized to uppercase.

Duplicates, unsupported characters and words longer than the grid are reported. Remove spaces or punctuation deliberately rather than expecting the maker to rewrite your vocabulary. A word that cannot be placed is never silently omitted.

Choose a grid and directions

Choose a square grid from 6 × 6 to 24 × 24. The longest word must fit in a straight line inside that grid. A larger grid gives more room to place words but also makes the printed letters smaller.

Forward mode allows right, down and diagonal-down placements. All eight directions also includes backwards placements. The instructions printed on the page describe the selected direction setting.

Make and inspect the puzzle

Keep a seed to reproduce a layout, or choose New seed for a fresh input. Select Make my puzzle after changing the form. The preview represents the last successfully made puzzle, so unfinished input changes do not replace it.

If the words cannot fit, increase the grid, reduce the list or try another seed. The existing preview stays intact while you revise the request.

Print, download or add it to a book

Choose A4 or US Letter. Print / save PDF opens your browser dialog; Download printable SVG saves a self-contained vector page. Show solution displays the highlighted answer for the same puzzle.
